Poof New Roof ("we," "us," or "our") operates poofnewroof.com, a free referral and matching service that connects Southern California homeowners with independent, licensed roofing contractors. Information you provide. When you request quotes through our website or by phone, we collect: your name, phone number, and email address; your property ZIP code and property type; and details about your roofing project (service needed, timeline, roof type, whether you own the home, and whether you may file an insurance claim).
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we and our service providers may collect basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the page you submitted a request from, and the date and time of your visit.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and our services are directed to adults.
With matched contractors. This is the core of our service: when you submit a quote request, we share your contact information and project details with up to three (3) roofing contractors in our network so they can contact you about your project. Under California law, this disclosure in exchange for compensation may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — see Section 7 for your rights, including opting out.
With service providers. We use a small number of vendors to run our business — such as website hosting and form/email delivery — who process your information only on our behalf.
For legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
Never: we do not sell your information to data brokers, list resellers, or unrelated marketers, and we do not share it with anyone other than as described above.
By checking the consent box on our quote form, you give your express written consent for Poof New Roof and up to three (3) matched roofing contractors to contact you about your project at the phone number and email you provided — including by phone call, text message (SMS), and email, and including through automated technology. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. Message and data rates may apply. You may revoke consent at any time — reply STOP to any text, tell any caller you no longer wish to be contacted, or email us at poofnewroof@gmail.com and we will process your request promptly. We keep a timestamped record of your consent.
We retain quote-request information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain business records (including consent records), and meet legal obligations, after which it is deleted. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information; no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data commensurate with its sensitivity.
